About Me
I'm Supriya, a User Experience Designer from Boston with a background in Architecture. Practicing Architecture has been the most constructive part of my design journey, as it has brought discipline in my design thinking. It has taught me to research, analyze and always validate my creative process by putting the user at the center of design.
Exploring the parallels between Architecture and UX design, I realized that both the disciplines have a similar design process and approach. Hence UX design was the next logical step for me.
I'm drawn to design interfaces that are simple yet impactful. My strengths lie in strategy, ideating, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping and visual design. The transition from designing physical spaces into digital ones has made me holistically evaluate the user journey experience.
My Design Process
Understanding user behaviors, needs, and attitudes using different observation and feedback collection methods.
Gathering research information, sketch out potential design solutions to the problem the user has defined.
Create a conceptual prototype of the design for the user to interact with.
Synthesize your user testing results and identify major takeaways from prototype testing.
Continue to refine and improve the design in order to create best value for the user.
Other passions
When I'm not crafting beautiful user experiences I'm busy exploring new places, biking, reading, sketching, baking and reusing scrap for art-work.
